FreshEdge taps consumer goods veteran as chief financial officer

Wes Saber brings more than 25 years of leadership experience, including CFO and chief operating officer positions. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and CFO of Haribo of America, following several senior finance leadership and CFO roles at Mars Inc., according to a news release.

“Wes brings an exceptional combination of global experience, operational expertise, and strategic leadership to FreshEdge,” FreshEdge CEO Andrew Iacobucci said in the release. “His ability to build high-performing organizations and consistently deliver meaningful results makes him an outstanding addition to our executive leadership team.”
Saber will oversee FreshEdge’s financial strategy and operations.

Indianapolis-headquartered FreshEdge was established in 2019 with the combination of Indianapolis-based Piazza Produce and Indianapolis Fruit and Get Fresh Produce in Bartlett, Illinois. Numerous other distribution companies and their respective value-added operations have joined the company, growing it into a regional leader in the fresh food industry with a focus on fresh produce and specialty food items.
