Fresh Del Monte Produce promotes Abbas to president

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. has promoted Mohammed Abbas to president and chief operating officer. Abbas had served as the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer since 2022.

Abbas’ 20 years of agriculture and fresh produce experience include several other leadership positions with the company, including senior vice president of the Asia Pacific and Middle East region.

Abbas also served as Fresh Del Monte’s vice president of the Middle East and North Africa region and general manager of Del Monte Saudi Arabia and Del Monte Foods UAE.

Abbas holds a master’s degree in agribusiness from Purdue University and a master’s in business administration from Indiana University.
