Food processing equipment advances to be displayed at Fruit Logistica

Food processing equipment manufacturer Provisur will present several solutions at Fruit Logistica, the global fresh fruit trade show set for Feb. 5-7 in Berlin.

The Chicago-headquartered company will feature its modular production systems for fruit compote, mash and juice, according to a news release.

STS 2000

STS technologies, with high throughout and ease of maintenance, are ideal for the creation of jams, compotes and different types of fruit and vegetable sauces and purees. The STS 2000 is a new refiner that enables higher throughput and quality control for end products.

A flexible pressing belt pulls the product through the refiner and presses it against a perforated drum. The soft parts then move through the holes of the drum as any hard components such as stones or skin are removed by a scraping knife and discarded into a waste chute.

AM2C Barracuda

The Barracuda, which offers lower capacities at a lower machine price, incorporates advanced refiner technology with a low RPM and a single screw feed system.

It features a two-pallet vane pump and processes fresh and cooked products up to 90° C, including products with fibers. Pumping solutions are also offered.

Hoegger PS 2000 and PS 4000

Hoegger refiners deliver maximum yield and lower operating costs to create compote or mash out of soft and cooked products. The machines also remove pits, stones, skins, stems, black spots and fibers.

A delta pressure system of sensors enables low, constant pressure to operation in conjunction with controlled knife head rotation speed.
