FlexPak to highlight new packaging at United Fresh 2014

LaserSharp FlexPak Services, will showcase their new patent pending PrimePeel peel and reseal packaging application at United Fresh 2014. This innovative solution uses precision laser scoring technology to deliver an adhesive peel and reclose process for food, medical, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications which enable a package to be easily opened and resealed, while maintaining the integrity and sustainability of its contents, according to FlexPak.

The new design is tamper-evident, ensuring product quality and freshness. When compared to traditional applications such as clamshell packaging, PrimePeel greatly reduces material usage, resulting in up to 20% cost savings, according to the company.

PrimePeel is available for a variety of package sizes, designs, and film structures including trays, pillow pouches, stand up pouches, and more. A pull-tab is included allowing the users to easily open the package and then completely reseal it time after time throughout the lifespan of the product.
