Edible Garden to expand line of shelf-stable paste herbs
After a successful pilot production, controlled environmental agriculture producer Edible Garden is expanding its new line of shelf-stable, stir-in paste herbs.
Squeezables feature fully recyclable packaging, according to a news release.
“Squeezables, our new line of squeezable herbs, represent a major advancement in how consumers experience condiments,” Edible Garden CEO Jim Kras said in the release. “We developed this product to offer a fresh, convenient alternative to traditional pantry staples. What sets Squeezables apart is their extended shelf life — even after opening — while preserving their bold, fresh flavor.
“Keeping them refrigerated ensures they remain just as vibrant and flavorful as the day they were opened.”
Edible Garden operates greenhouses and processing facilities in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Belvidere, New Jersey. The company’s network of contract growers in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and West Coast provides locally grown, cut and packed fresh lettuce and organic herbs.
“As consumers increasingly seek sustainable, better-for-you options, we are proud to offer a product that meets both needs — freshness and environmental responsibility,” Kras said.
