Duravant acquires machine manufacturer Multiscan Technologies

Global food processing, packaging and material handling company Duravant has acquired machine manufacturer Multiscan Technologies in a move Duravant says will expand its automated food processing and inspection reach.

Headquartered in Alicante, Spain, Multiscan designs and builds equipment for the sorting and inspection of fruits, vegetables and other agri-food products.

A leader in vision technology for more than 25 years with customers in 35-plus companies, Multiscan manufactures intelligent vision and transport systems for automated sorting and grading of food products and inspection systems using advanced x-ray digital processing and information management software that ensure food safety compliance.

Together with Duravant operating companies Key Technology and WECO, Multiscan extends Duravant’s portfolio across automated food processing and inspection categories with complementary products, technologies and applications.
