Dehydration tech company expanding availability of Brussels sprout product

Dehydration technology company BranchOut Food’s Brussels Sprout Crisps will be rolling out into 3,945 stores of the nation’s largest retailer.

Last year, BranchOut launched the product in approximately half of the retailer’s stores, according to a news release.

According to the National Retail Foundation, Walmart leads the country with $534 billion in annual sales. The retailer has 4,606 U.S. stores, according to its corporate website.

In addition to the expanded distribution of the Brussels sprouts product, BranchOut will also debut its newest snack line: Sweet Potato Sticks Topped with Cinnamon. The sticks are made using BranchOut’s proprietary GentleDry technology to preserve the color, flavor and nutrition of the sweet potatoes.

The sticks will launch in 1,952 of the retailers’ locations, according to the release.

“This expansion is a powerful validation that our innovative snacks, driven by our proprietary GentleDry technology, are connecting with both consumers and retail buyers,” BranchOut CEO Eric Healy said in the release. “Our growing partnership with the nation’s largest retailer reflects our ability to use our technology to deliver truly differentiated products that meet the demand for healthier, better-tasting options in the snack aisle.”

In March, BranchOut Food received a new order of more than $600,000 for its Bell Pepper Crisps from the Midwest region of the nation’s largest warehouse club. According to EssFeed.com, Costco Wholesale Corp. is the country’s largest warehouse club, with more than 500 locations.
