CPS hosts free virtual educational event
The Center for Produce Safety (CPS) is hosting a webinar series following its successful 15th annual Research Symposium held June 18-19 in Denver.
The symposium attracted a wide audience of industry producers, processors, regulators, and public health officials from around the world.
Attendees selected three final research reports to be featured in the upcoming webinars. Each webinar will focus on a different project, with scientists discussing their goals, methods, and findings. A live Q&A session will allow participants to engage with the experts.
September webinar
The next webinar, scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. PT on Sept. 24, will explore the risks of changes in EHEC physiology during post-harvest pre-processing stages of leafy greens. The session will be presented by Teresa Bergholz, Ph.D., from Michigan State University, and Nitin Nitin, Ph.D., from the University of California, Davis.
October webinar
The following webinar, set for 10 to 11 a.m. PT on Oct. 8, will address cross-contamination risks in dry environments, with Linda Harris, Ph.D., from the University of California, Davis, leading the discussion.
CPS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing produce safety through research. The webinars are free to attend, and interested participants can register on the CPS website.
