Courchesne Larose partners with Veg-Pak, expands in Ontario market
Montreal-based Courchesne Larose Group has entered into a partnership with Ontario’s Veg-Pak Produce, marking its first physical operations in Ontario.
The move aims to strengthen Courchesne Larose’s presence in Canada’s largest markets and enhance its ability to serve national retailers.
Veg-Pak, a wholesaler and processor of fresh produce, will operate as an independent division within Courchesne Larose. It will maintain its current name, branding and headquarters in Etobicoke, with its leadership remaining unchanged.
The partnership will allow both companies to share best practices and expand the distribution of each other’s products, according to a news release.
“There is a strong strategic and cultural fit between Courchesne Larose and Veg-Pak,” Michael Aucoin, CEO of Courchesne Larose, said in the release. “Both are family-owned businesses with a shared commitment to customer service and produce quality.”
Courchesne Larose has been involved in the Canadian fruit and vegetable industry for over 100 years, with a wide distribution network spanning Canada and the U.S. East Coast.
“We are excited about our new partnership that will enable both companies to enhance customer service by leveraging each other’s best practices,” Rick Carnevale, leader of Veg-Pak, said.
