California produce supplier adds 2 veterans to company

Corona, California-based fresh produce supplier Veg-Fresh Farms has added two industry veterans to the company.

Ramon Angel has more than a decade of experience in the produce industry with companies including Fresh Express Salads, Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce, Plan Berries and Central West Produce. Angel will focus on expanding grower relations and retail sales in Veg-Fresh’s berry program and on developing and enhancing the company’s Crystal Cove Berry brand.

David Solis has worked in produce since 2000 at companies including Interfresh Inc., US Foods, Hardie’s Fresh Foods and Dulcinea Farms. Specializing in both fresh and fresh-cut produce, he will focus on expanding market share in the foodservice sector.

“We could not be more excited to have these two talented individuals join our team,” Mark Widder, Veg-Fresh Farms general partner, said in a news release.

“We eagerly anticipate their contributions and look forward to their continued success with us.”

Veg-Fresh Farms supplies fresh and fresh-cut produce to national food service chains and retailers under multiple brands including Veg-Fresh Farms, Crystal Cove Berry Farms, Pure Citrus, Sweet King, On Flavor and Good Life Organic.
