Beverage company acquires Country Pure Foods
Fruit and vegetable beverage company Peterson Brands has acquired Country Pure Foods, a producer of portioned and multi-serve juices, plant-based beverages and frozen novelties.
Headquartered in Akron, Ohio, Country Pure Foods operates multiple U.S. manufacturing facilities, including locations in Ohio and Florida. Company brands include Ardmore Farms, SideKicks, VBlend, FUN!, VitaMost and Glacier Valley, along with private label and co-manufacturing capabilities.
Country Pure Foods serves industries including K-12 schools, health care, restaurants and retail.
“We are excited to welcome Country Pure Foods into Peterson Brands,” Aaron Peterson, CEO of Peterson Brands parent company Peterson Farms Family of Companies, said in a news release. “Country Pure Foods’ product expertise, channel strength and long-standing customer relationships make them a natural addition to our organization.”
During the initial integration period, day-to-day operations at Country Pure Foods will continue without immediate changes, according to the release.
Peterson Farms Family of Companies, headquartered in Michigan, also includes Peterson Farms, Peterson Farms Fresh, Lakewood Organic and Fresh Innovations California. The family of companies serves retail, foodservice, K-12 and industrial markets including processed fruit, fresh-cut produce, branded beverages, organic juices and functional nutrition.
Specialties include individual quick frozen (IQF) fruits, fresh apple processing, bulk and retail juice, applesauce, retail polybagging and controlled atmosphere storages.
