Automation veteran joins JLS to lead cartoning solutions
JLS Automation has tapped an industry automation veteran to lead its cartoning advances.

Sean Spees, the company’s new director of cartoning solutions, brings more than 20 years of experience to JLS, with a primary concentration in end-of-line automation, according to a news release.
Spees has held previous roles at Signode, Pearson Packaging Systems, ADCO Manufacturing, R.A Jones and Bosch Rexroth. Most recently, he held director roles in sales and service North America at Syntegon Technology Services.
“Sean is an insightful leader in end-of-line automation with a proven track record of solving complex packaging challenges,” Gary Pickett, JLS senior director of secondary packaging, said in the release. “Many of us have known him for several years, and his expertise will be invaluable as we continue to deliver exceptional cartoning solutions to our customers.
“His ability to understand both the technical and business aspects of packaging automation makes him a great fit for our team as we grow and expand our capabilities.”
