Another 25 companies sign on with traceability network ReposiTrak
Twenty-five additional produce companies, including an industry pioneer with roots dating to the 1860s, have joined ReposiTrak
The network uses an inventory management and out-of-stock reduction Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to connect suppliers and trading partners ahead of the January 2026 deadline for compliance with the Food and Drug Administration’s Food Traceability Final Rule. Users can exchange FDA-required Key Data Elements for each Critical Tracking Event in the supply chain.
The additions include one company celebrated for its extensive range of popular produce brands, according to a news release. Another operates farms that rotate seasonally across the U.S. to optimize environmental conditions for high-quality produce, while the third has exemplified quality and reliability for more than a century.
The ReposiTrak Traceability Network requires no additional hardware or software. Suppliers can connect to an unlimited number of trading partners and share data for a flat fee.
Several thousand companies are now “in some stage of getting up and running” in ReposiTrak’s network, Fields told Produce Processing via email on June 6.
Fields explained why compliance with the final rule, commonly known as FSMA 204, will be necessary before the FDA-mandated deadline in an article in Produce Processing’s March/April issue.
