New frozen vegetables offerings to launch in July

Food technology company BranchOut Food has shipped the first production of new dried Brussels sprouts and carrot sticks that will be launched nationwide in July.

BranchOut Food, headquartered in Bend, Oregon, specializes in dehydrated fruit and vegetable-based products. The new offerings will be caried by the nation’s largest retailer, according to a news release from the company.

The release did not name the retailer.

Walmart, with more than $600 billion global sales, was the U.S.’s largest retailer in 2023, according to the National Retail Federation, followed by Amazon ($343 billion) and Costco ($217.5 billion).

BranchOut Food’s new products were requested by the retailer, according to the release.

“We are excited to continue growing our relationship as a trusted partner to this large, brand-name retailer,” BranchOut Food CEO Eric Healy said in the release. “In addition to the products shipped this month, the retailer has asked BranchOut Food to develop a number of additional flavored variations of the products that it will review for future opportunities. We look forward to potentially increasing our item count on shelves with this retailer.”

BranchOut Food’s proprietary GentleDry technology preserves up to 95% of the original nutrition of fresh fruits and vegetables and locks in color and flavor, according to the release.
