IFPA to debut regional women in produce event next month
Building on the success of its annual Women’s Fresh Perspectives Conference, the International Fresh Produce Association will debut a regional event model next month in the Yakima, Washington area for women in the produce industry.
The event will be held May 6 at Fontaine Estates in Naches, Washington.
The conference will include professional singer and motivational speaker Rev. Amy Roon as well as panels of industry professionals.
The event is part of IFPA’s Women’s Fresh Perspectives Portfolio, which aims to cultivate women’s potential and be the catalyst for a vibrant global produce and floral industry through the leadership, development and participation of women, according to the organization’s website.
The regional events will provide a more intimate and accessible setting to come together, celebrate diversity and engage in meaningful discussions, according to IFPA.
Registration is $100 for IFPA members and $150 for nonmembers.
