Ready Pac adds limited edition flavor to bistro bowls

Ready Pac Foods has launched its Limited Edition Roasted Corn and Pulled Pork Bistro Bowl. This new salad, with “right-off-the-grill” flavors, gives consumers the taste of summer they want in a convenient and healthy way, according to the company.

“Consumers should be able to indulge in delicious summer BBQ flavors in a convenient way without sacrificing healthy eating,” said Ready Pac Foods Vice President, Portfolio Marketing, Nannette Richardson. “We developed the Limited Edition Roasted Corn and Pulled Pork Bistro after seeing pulled pork grow 21 percent as an ingredient on restaurant menus over the last five years. Combined with corn, one of the ingredients consumers found most appealing for the upcoming summer season, our newest limited edition salad gives them the summer grilled taste they crave.”

Inspired by backyard summer BBQ, this salad features fire-roasted corn, poblano peppers and seasoned pulled pork on top of a chopped blend of romaine and iceberg lettuces. Topping the salad is a chili lime dressing, cheese cornbread croutons and a BBQ sauce drizzle. The new salad will only be available through mid-September.

This new seasonal salad joins the company’s other limited edition flavors including Roasted Beets & Baby Greens Bistro Bowl salad this past spring and last fall’s Pumpkin Spice Bistro Bowl.
