Heinzen Manufacturing invests in Vista Solar

Vista Solar, a California commercial solar solution provider, announced the completion of a 269-kilowatt (kW) solar installation for Heinzen Manufacturing International (HMI). Located in Gilroy, California, HMI specializes in the design, production, and installation of food processing equipment.

By investing in the 269kW solar solution, HMI is now offsetting 75.2 percent of the company’s energy bill, an annual savings of $106,826 and an estimated $4.1 million over the next 25 years, Vista Solar said.

With an estimated 426,500 kWh annual production, HMI is offsetting 294 metric tons of carbon each year, the company said. According to the EPA, that is equivalent to the amount of carbon sequestered by 241 acres of U.S. forests in one year, or CO2 emission from 315,890 pounds of coal burned, Vista Solar said.
