SIMBA barcode tracking improved with upgraded interface

August 25, 2016

Dynamic Systems Inc. has upgraded the interface for the SIMBA line of barcode tracking and labeling. This upgrade gives the processor/packer the ability to handle, label and track their products faster and more accurately from any location “field to customer”, according to the company. The label applicators provide hands-free, automated labeling of individual cases for PTI and other customer requirements.Simba-logo

With SIMBA (Specialized Inventory Management with Barcode Accuracy), users have the ability to monitor pack lines in real-time, to know what is in inventory and to record shipments.

The SIMBA system runs on a scanners, tablets or touch screen computers and allows the worker to print product labels from the field or at any pack line with all pertinent information (including a GS-1 code), capturing product information (weight, size, color, grade) for that carton or bag. The label information is stored in the SIMBA Office inventory, which provides data for inventory management, traceability and shipping. The cartons may be accumulated onto a pallet and tracked with a single pallet identifier.

At the time of shipping, the Van Loading feature of SIMBA tracks each carton or pallet onto a specific van. A Bill of Lading is then produced automatically.
