QualiTru launches improved 12-channel sampling system

QualiTru Sampling Systems has introduced a re-designed 12-channel sampling septum.

QualiTru’s sampling systems are designed to be used in a variety of beverage and food production facilities. The sterilized septa provide a simple-to-use sampling solution that “dramatically improves safety and ensures that a truly representative sample is available for testing,” according to the company.

The new 12-channel septa are a single-piece design manufactured from high-density, elastomeric material that is designed to provide additional stability when inserting into and removing the septa from ports.

The updated septa also feature a permanent, thermal-aluminum label that indicates which channels have been used to avoid cross-contamination.

Mark Schwab, president of QualiTru Sampling Systems, said the company’s goal is to provide a system that brings accountability to the sampling process.

“For decades, very little has changed in how liquid samples are taken,” he said. “Today, food safety is a primary concern for processing facilities, regulators and consumers.”

QualiTru worked closely with CSP Technologies to develop the new septa. The company’s 12-channel septa, along with smaller, seven-channel septa, are part of a complete sampling system that includes stainless steel sanitary ports and sampling containers, as well as peristaltic pumps. QualiTru recently introduced TruDraw Single Samplers, which are used to collect samples from the 12-channel and seven-channel septa.
