PMA, United Fresh hosting Listeria monocytogenes workshop in Atlanta

An upcoming “Listeria monocytogenes Intervention & Control Workshops” is designed specifically for the produce industry. Hosted by PMA and United Fresh, the Listeria Workshops bring together attendees from various food companies, including growers, shippers, packers, retailers, suppliers and food safety consultants in the fresh produce industry. The workshop is set for March 5-6 in Atlanta.

During these two-day programs, attendees will learn from FDA, academia and industry experts during general sessions focusing on:

  • Sanitary design
  • Sanitation best practices
  • Environmental monitoring

The agenda includes breakout sessions, panel discussions, and case studies. There is also an evening networking session with table top displays.

Attendees include those from packinghouse and fresh-cut operation’s quality assurance, food safety, sanitation, production, operations, maintenance and/or engineering staff member.
