Nominees sought for new women’s leadership award

The Center for Growing Talent by PMA (CGTbyPMA) is now accepting nominations for its new Women’s Catalyst Award.

“The award will honor one leader annually from the fresh produce and floral industry who is cultivating women’s potential by mentoring women and by providing a path for their leadership, development and participation,” the center wrote.

Nominations are due by Aug. 10.

“We know that there are some amazing people out there striving to cultivate women’s potential in our industry – they mentor us, they inspire us to raise the bar, and they teach us by their excellent example,” said Executive Director Margi Prueitt.

The group said this is the first talent-centric award from the Center for Growing Talent by PMA, which was created more than 10 years ago. The Women’s Catalyst Award is one of five Awards of Excellence that PMA or CGTbyPMA sponsor annually.

Nominees can be men or women and must be PMA members. There is no cost to enter. The 2018 awardee will be named at the Women’s Fresh Perspectives Leadership Breakfast this October. For more information on the award, visit www.growingtalentbypma.org/resources.
