Midwest Food Processors expand membership opportunities

The Midwest Food Processors Association (MWFPA) has added a new processor membership level to enable the organization to better serve the diverse community of small food manufacturing businesses in the Midwest.

The new membership level applies to processors in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin with gross sales of $2 million or less, according to the association. The category does not include voting privileges within the association, but does include all other benefits of membership including participation on association committees; listing in the organization’s print and online directory; receiving ongoing industry news and publications; in addition to invitations to and discounts for members-only networking events and educational seminars.

“The MWFPA board of directors recognizes that there are a growing number of small food processors that need support,” said MWFPA President Nick George. “As a member of MWFPA, small processors can become part of a larger community of like-minded companies seeking to promote, advocate and benefit the food manufacturing industry in the Midwest and the nation.”

Food processors interested in becoming a member of MWFPA can find more information and download an application from the membership section of the association's web site.
