Mann Packing wins top Monterey County business award

Salinas, California-based Mann Packing has won the 2017 Business of the Year Award in Agriculture from the Monterey County Business Council (MCBC). The award was presented Friday, May 5 during the MCBC’s 22nd Annual Gala and Economic Vitality Awards at the Hyatt Regency Monterey.

Mann’s was honored for initiatives that bring innovative, fresh vegetable solutions to market. The company has a long track record of supporting its local community; fostering a progressive and family-friendly work environment; creating an array of one-of-a-kind products in produce; and educating consumers about the health benefits of eating fresh vegetables, according to the MCBC

“Mann Packing exemplifies the innovative, fresh spirit of the Salinas Valley produce industry,” said MCBC’s president, MaryAnn Leffel. “They are constantly evolving with new products, packaging and ideas.”

Mann’s holds the Women’s Owned Business Certification from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
