Lamb Weston expanding original Idaho potato processing facility

Lamb Weston is expanding its American Falls, Idaho, facility to add production capabilities for chopped and formed products, such as potato patties and potato puffs.

The American Falls facility, originally built in 1960, was the first Lamb Weston frozen french fry processing plant. Today, the company is one of the largest potato processors in the world, delivering product to more than 100 countries.

Construction on the expansion is scheduled to conclude in 2022. The added production will call for the addition of about 70 jobs, the company announced through a press release.

“The line will be built to the highest safety and food safety standards in the industry,” Lamb Weston stated.
