Food Processing Expo 2021 canceled

During the California League of Food Producers (CLFP) fall board of directors meeting on Oct. 22, the board voted to approve a budget that would not include holding an in-person or virtual Food Processing Expo in 2021.

Staff shared with the board that the current pandemic situation would make it likely that safety regulations and meeting gathering protocols would prohibit holding a safe and successful Expo. The in-person event had been planned for Feb. 9-10, 2021, in Sacramento.

Prior to the board meeting, CLFP staff spent a considerable amount of time researching virtual options for the show or a similar event. Many board members indicated during the meeting that they would likely not participate in a virtual expo event or would do so in a limited capacity. In addition, many exhibitors who had already registered for a booth at the previously planned in-person expo expressed that they would not be interested in participating in a virtual event.

CLFP recently began holding regular Industry Issues Webinars, which will continue into 2021. VisitĀ www.clfp.comĀ for more information and to register.
