Bite-sized potato line from Cal-Organic Farms launching

A new bite-sized potato line from Grimmway Produce Group brand Cal-Organic Farms will soon hit shelves.

Certified organic, the line includes gold, red, medley bite-size and fingerling potatoes, along with nibbles, a novelty offering.

The line is available year-round and packed in a mesh pillow pack to showcase freshness and enhance on-shelf visibility, according to a news release.

The new program includes six unique offerings—featuring gold, red, and medley bite-size and fingerling potatoes, plus nibbles, a fun, novelty addition for shoppers seeking something new. With its range of varietals and versatile use across meal occasions, the line is designed to meet the needs of today’s organic consumer while supporting category growth for retail partners.

“This bite-size potato program delivers the convenience, flavor and year-round reliability Cal-Organic is known for while bringing new energy and innovation to the organic potato category,” Drew Callaghan, Grimmway Produce Group senior vice president of retail sales, said in the release.

Grown in the U.S., the bite-sized potatoes cook quickly and consistently, according to the company.

“Retailers can merchandise the new line within the potato category or drive additional impulse sales by featuring it in secondary locations, such as the meat department or next to other convenience-focused produce items,” Callaghan said.

The product line will be available for order beginning March 9, with full nationwide distribution expected throughout early 2026, according to the release.
