WeighPack introduces Sleek 60 wrapper

WeighPack Systems has introduced the Sleek 60 Wrapper, a servo-driven horizontal wrapping machine. It can wrap using many roll stock materials including and not limited to polypropylene film, microperforated material, multilayer laminated, co-extruded and foil films. Most heat sealable films will run with ease, according to WeighPack. The machine is designed to flow wrap almost any kind of product with or without a tray.

The Sleek 60 uses three servo motors and servo drives designed to create quick and easy changeover and adjustment with no chains, gears or lubrication needed.

The machine will wrap 60 packages per minute. It can be configured to handle package sizes as small as 1 inch wide–by-3.75 inches tall-by-3 inches in long to a package of 6.5 inches-by-3.75 inches-by-10 inches. The variable speed control can adjust flow rate for manual and automatic feeding onto the conveyor.

Standard features include PID temperature control, pre-programmed and stored product set up, stainless steel frame construction, color touch screen HMI, adjustable forming box, auto open/close rotary finwheel assembly and rotary seal jaws with jam detecting logic. The infeed conveyor is available extended to 12 feet (3.5 meters) long if required.

The wrapper can be equipped with gas flush capabilities for extended shelf life as well as printing and/or labeling attachments for product identification or code dating. Running registered printed roll stock film is simple and easy with eye mark sensing devices mounted on the film unwind roller assembly, according to WeighPack. Gusseting attachments are available to produce a tight wrap on high profile items.

Equipped with dual lug position infeed conveyor and an adjustable forming shoulder, changing from product to product is designed to be very simple. For more information, visit here
