Veggie Noodle Co. receives Non-GMO Project verification

Veggie Noodle Co., based in Austin, Texas, has earned Non-GMO Project Verification for its entire line of certified organic spiralized vegetables. Made from 100 percent fresh produce that is shipped directly from farms, Veggie Noodle Co. “is dedicated to promoting sustainable organic farming with a focus on GMO avoidance and environmental responsibility and manufactures its entire family of spiralized vegetables in a dedicated allergen-free facility,” the company said in a statement.

In addition to being USDA certified organic and Non-GMO Project Verified, Veggie Noodle Co.’s full line of ready-to-eat noodles – the first pre-packaged USDA organic spiralized vegetables – has received gluten-free certification from the Gluten-Free Certification Organization.

Recently named one of the biggest food trends of 2017 by Whole Foods Market, the company’s Zucchini, Butternut, Sweet Potato and Beet Spirals are also dairy-free, vegan, paleo and low calorie, with zero preservatives, added sugars or salts.

Veggie Noodle Co. markets the spiralized vegetables as an alternative to grain-based noodles.

“We created Veggie Noodle Co. to offer a fresh and healthy alternative to pasta so that consumers could feel good about feeding their families – whether a specific dietary restriction, allergy or personal preference,” said Mason Arnold, founder of Veggie Noodle Co. “We’re thrilled to achieve Non-GMO Project Verification, the most trusted independent verification for non-GMO products in North America, and are dedicated to providing families with high-quality, responsible foods that meet the most stringent of standards.”

The Non-GMO Project’s Verification Seal indicates that a product has been produced according to best practices for GMO avoidance, including thorough, independent testing of at-risk ingredients. The verification program demands ongoing evaluation of products, ingredients and manufacturing facilities to maintain compliance with the Non-GMO Project Standard.

Veggie Noodle Co.’s entire family of organic spiralized vegetables has been nominated for 2017’s Best New Vegetable Product at the United Fresh Innovation Awards. All attendees of the United Fresh Produce Show, June 14-15, are invited to booth #2241 to sample multiple varieties, to visit Veggie Noodle Co.’s display in the West Hall of McCormick Place, and to hear Arnold speak at the Product Development Success Stories Panel taking place on Thursday, June 15, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Veggie Noodle Co. was created in 2015 after a gluten sensitivity diagnosis forced Arnold to seek gluten-free meal options for his family. Veggie Noodle Co.’s products are now available in over 1,400 stores in 35 states, including Whole Foods Market, Kroger and Target. For more information visit www.veggienoodleco.com.
