UC Davis accepting applications for sensory science program

There’s still time to apply for the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) Extension’s Applied Sensory and Consumer Science Certificate Program. UC Davis Extension’s online program provides sensory science professionals worldwide with course experience and a forum for exchanging ideas and connecting with peers.

Approved by the Department of Food Science and Technology, UC Davis, the program is continually updated to reflect current and cutting-edge methods in the area of sensory science and consumer testing. The program is taught by UC Davis Professor Jean-Xavier Guinard and Tragon Corporation Chief Sensory Officer Rebecca Bleibaum.

“This was indeed one of the best learning programs that I have been involved in. The teachings are invaluable and insightful,” said Casandra V. Turner of Kraft Foods. “The program has broadened my knowledge base, which makes for a more efficient sensory scientist.”

The first course begins Oct. 2, and the entire program can be completed in fewer than 12 months.

Applications are due Sept. 15 for the fall 2017 program.
