TOMRA Sorting Food appoints new technical director

TOMRA Sorting Food has appointed a new technical director to oversee the global development of the company’s technologies.

Maciek Wasowski has almost 20 years’ experience in developing consumer electronics products.

At TOMRA Sorting Food he will define and execute research and development activities. His focus will be on the development of technology enabling TOMRA machines to achieve improved sorting performance and better user experience.

Previously software innovation director at TP Vision, Maciek was responsible for a team of more than 60 engineers working on innovations for Philips branded televisions. In the seven years prior he held the role of general manager at VAIO and Mobile of Europe at Sony, where he was responsible for engineering activities for VAIO PCs and other mobile devices.
