Southeastern Food Processors convention set for Oct. 20-22

The Southeastern Food Processors Association (SFPA) Annual Convention is set for Oct. 20-22, in Savannah, Georgia. The convention, hosted at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa, will focus on “Leadership: Sharing the Vision for Success.”

Friday and Saturday mornings speakers will be presenting sessions on leadership styles and values. The convention program is directed to owners, top management, department managers, and next-generation processors.

Speakers include Jim Ethier, retired chairman, Bush Brothers & Co.; Michael Angelo Caruso, business consultant; James Anderson, retired brigadier general, U.S. Army; Marriott Winchester, Zone President-SGS Americas; and John Burpee, vice president, Goldman Sachs & Co. Tony Lahnston, SFPA second vice president, will be the speaker moderator.

Sessions include:

  • “The Secrets of Pro-Active Communication-Working Smart, Not Hard”
  • “Leaders of Character”
  • “2016 Nutrition Facts Label Design & Supply Chain Impact”
  • “Economic Outlook from Goldman Sachs”

The Annual Convention will also feature a golf tournament, Savannah city tour and lunch, scholarship auction, raffle and reception dinners.
