Southeast processors annual convention Oct. 22-25

The Southeastern Food Processors Association annual convention will be held Oct. 22-25 at the Inn at Harbour Town in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The event combines association business meetings, educational presentations, product displays, social events and tours of the area.

Education sessions will be Friday and Saturday mornings, Oct. 23 and 24. Presentations include:

  • “Packaging & Food Waste,” Daniel Abramowicz, executive vice president for technology and regulatory affairs, Crown Food Packaging
  • “Packaging Innovation and Consumer Engagement,” Scott Thompson, vice president of color and print technologies, Southern Graphics
  • “Building a Leadership Culture,” Susan Whitehead, certified trainer, South Carolina Extension
  • “How to Engage Someone in 15 Seconds: The Power of Persuasion in Business,” Michael Caruso, Edison House
  • “Inside the Mind of the Food Worker: Understanding Your Workforce and Developing an HR Strategy to Recruit and Retain Talent,” Wes Burke, Alchemy Systems
  • “Leveraging Technology For Your Business,” Craig Jonkers, S. Walker Company
  • “Packaging Analysis Techniques and Packaging Trends,” Jeff Rhodehamel, Clemson Extension.
