SCS offering GlobalGAP certification worldwide

Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) announced its accreditation to certify to the GLOBALG.A.P Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard on a global basis.

Headquartered in Emeryville, with satellite offices on several continents, SCS provides top quality food safety auditing and training services to growers, food manufacturers, distributors and retailers, including HACCP, SQF, GAP/GMP, Tesco Nurture, BRC, and GLOBALG.A.P certification. As a trusted industry leader with 27 years experience in the food industry, SCS also provides micro-pathogen testing, flavor analysis, responsible sourcing certification, and pesticide residue testing.

“SCS is pleased to be able to extend our GLOBALG.A.P services to clients worldwide,” said Heena Patel, director of food and agriculture auditing services at SCS. “The GLOBALG.A.P standard is becoming increasingly important to producers and suppliers everywhere as the focus on food safety increases.”

GLOBALG.A.P (formerly known as EUREPG.A.P) has established itself as a key reference for Good Agricultural Practices (G.A.P.) in the global market place. The GLOBALG.A.P standard is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), a collaboration of food safety experts representing retailers, manufacturers, food service companies, and food supply chain service providers.
