Sambazon launches Superfruit Packs, sorbet flavors

Sambazon announced four new flavors available at major retailers nationwide, starting in May. The company has introduced two new Superfruit Packs, including Performance Protein Superfruit and Supergreens Superfruit, as well as new açaí sorbet flavors, including Açaí + Coconut Creamy Sorbet and Açaí Chocolate + Chocolate Chip Creamy Sorbet.

The new Performance Protein Superfruit Pack features 12 grams of plant-based protein, 90 calories and 5 grams of sugar per serving, the company said.  Sambazon’s new Supergreens Superfruit Pack is made with kale and spinach, and includes 1.5 servings of organic fruits and vegetables with 70 calories and 4 grams of sugar, according to the company.

In addition to to the new Superfruit packs, Sambazon also introduces two new flavors to the açaí sorbet family, including Açaí Chocolate + Chocolate Chip Creamy Sorbet and Açaí + Coconut Creamy Sorbet. Both sorbets are organic, dairy-free and gluten-free, Sambazon said.

Sambazon’s new Superfruit Packs have a suggested retail price of $6.99 to $7.99 and Açaí Sorbets with a suggested retail price of $4.99 to $5.99. Both products will be widely available in natural and mainstream grocery stores in the frozen section starting in May.
