Registration open for FDLI’s new conference

Registration is now open for the Food and Drug Law Institute’s (FDLI) new conference – Food Safety: Latest FSMA Developments & Enforcement Actions in a Changing Business Climate. This conference will address the proposed rules FDA has promulgated to implement the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and how they might affect your clients or your business.

At this meeting, you will hear directly from keynote speaker, Michael Landa, Director of Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition at FDA, on the status of FDA’s proposed rules under FSMA, court deadlines, and significant issues FDA is addressing with regards to the rules. Brian Ronholm, Deputy Under Secretary for Food Safety at USDA, will join as the luncheon speaker.

You will also hear from experts in the industry on the current status of the proposed rules and how businesses should be working to implement them. In addition, speakers will discuss the latest developments in FDA enforcement actions, and you will learn the do’s and don’ts of food recalls though an instructional case study. Panelists will also explore the impact of FSMA on the business of food safety, both domestically and internationally.

This one-day conference will be held on September 9 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the law offices of Sidley Austin LLP in Washington, DC. The detailed agenda and registration information can be found on the FDLI website
