Produce Research Symposium coming up June 27

The Center for Produce Safety annual Produce Research Symposium is coming up Wednesday, June 27, in Davis, Calif.

With a number of recent voluntary recalls and as the industry works toward coming up with new guidelines for cantaloupes, this year's topics are especially timely.

In Good Agricultural Practices, Dr. Bob Whitaker of the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) will moderate topics that include Buffer Zones and Animal Vectors, Irrigation Water Quality and Inputs, and Cultivaton and Harvest. A fourth session will focus on Wash Water and Process Control. A food industry and government discussion will follow, moderated by the PMA's Bryan Silbermann.

Registration is in progress. Click here for more details.
