Produce Marketing Association seeking volunteers

The Produce Marketing Association (PMA) is seeking members from across the global fresh produce supply chain for some 80 volunteer opportunities that will play an active role in guiding the association and the future of the produce industry. The benefits of volunteering include providing industry expertise, forging new business relationships, increasing personal visibility and creating solutions that directly affect the produce industry, according to PMA.

“Our volunteer work has enabled Concord Foods to significantly raise its profile in the industry and make key contacts that would otherwise have been unavailable to us,” said Charles Olins, vice president of sales and marketing for Concord Foods, Inc., based in Brockton, Mass.

Interested industry members can submit volunteer applications through PMA’s virtual volunteer center. Though applications will be reviewed starting April 20 to select those whose experience and expertise best match volunteer openings, applications are also accepted throughout the year.

If members have questions, need more information, or would like assistance completing a volunteer application, they can contact PMA’s Solution Center staff by telephone at 302-738-7100, or by email at [email protected].
