New Robinson Fresh operations facility opens

C.H. Robinson has begun operations out of a new, state of the art facility in Corona, California in order to provide Robinson Fresh customers with expanded and efficient supply chain solutions.

The service center has over 187,000 square feet of warehouse space that includes over 135,000 square feet of temperature controlled operations, eight cold rooms with varying temperature zones, 28 dock doors, as well as cutting edge air purification technology and cold chain handling processes, according to the company.

The facility is PTI compliant, PrimusGFS certified, and certified organic.

Robinson Fresh will provide temperature controlled distribution services that support national and regional programs, repack, consolidation, cross dock, forward distribution and floral services throughout the facility. By centralizing these operations, Robinson Fresh will create just-in-time efficiencies for customers in order to address seasonal surges and capacity strains within the market.

With location being a key component to maximizing supply chain efficiency, the Los Angeles service center is in close proximity to multiple retail distribution centers, major U.S. shipping ports, and West Coast metropolitan areas. Robinson Fresh manages seven additional facilities located in Northeast, Midwest, South, and Southeast areas of the U.S.
