MULTI-FILL redesigns filling head

MULTI-FILL has redesigned its MPF (multi-purpose filler) filling head to increase efficiency in depositing ready meal components such as cut fruits and vegetables, the company said.

The new style filling head is approximately 50 percent lighter, which makes it easier to adjust the height of the filling head over the conveying line during production, according to the company. It is also faster to disassemble, clean, and reassemble, MULTI-FILL said.

This feature is standard on new MULTI-FILL multi-purpose filling systems, and all existing models and sizes can be retrofitted in the field. It is manufactured out of 316 stainless steel and white UHMW plastic components; however, blue UHMW is available as an option.

MULTI-FILL machines are made in the U.S. and sold throughout the world. The fillers are designed to be flexible and allow for improvements over time to adapt to product lines, the company said.
