Mango-related recalls expand with fresh-cut products

More recalls were announced over the Labor Day weekend in connection with mangoes associated with a salmonella outbreak in Canada and the U.S.

Supplier Splendid Products has recalled Danielle brand mangoes due to potential contamination with Salmonella Braenderup. Several fresh-cut processors that had used the mangoes in their products issued voluntary precautionary recalls on products that contained mangoes, many with expiration dates that have passed. Among those issuing recalls are:

-Ready Pac, for certain products produced under its own label as well as under Dining In, Wawa, Walmart and Starbucks labels. Click here for a detailed list.

-F&S Produce of Rosenhayn, N.J., for mango and fruit medley products under several brands. Click here for a detailed list.
