Koppert Machines develops packing line for peppers

Koppert Machines has developed a packing line for snack bell peppers for a German customer. The design came about after extensive talks with the customer, according to the company. Existing and new techniques were used in the development of the packing line.

The challenge was getting three colors of bell peppers in a 200 gram packaging, with a weight of no more than three grams per packaging. In cooperation with Yamato Scale, a 24-head multi-head weigher was chosen, with eight weighing heads per color.

The newly combined multi-packer can pack various trays, boxes and bags, according to Koppert Machines.
