Kingston Fresh introduces Fryer Gold potato

Kingston Fresh, based in Idaho Falls, Idaho, is introducing the second offering under the Kingston Fryer Brand. Kingston Fresh has experienced success with their original, Russet variety based Kingston Fryer, known as “America’s Ultimate Frying Potato” for over 40 years, according to the company.

With a golden flesh and thinner skin, the Kingston Fryer Gold cooks up a light toasted “blonde” color. Having a more streamlined cooking process adds the additional benefit of lower operational costs as well, according to the company.

“Leadership at Kingston Fresh is excited to introduce the Kingston Fryer Gold as it has been several years in the R & D (research and development) phase and is now ready for release with year round availability,” said Nick Proia, vice president of business development – domestic and international. “With great fry-ability and a streamlined cooking process, the Kingston Fryer Gold expands our Kingston Fryer line for those operators that prefer a Kennebec/Yukon or Pomme-Frite style fresh cut fry.”
