Industry members fuel global tour, meet with supply chain at PMA Fresh Connections

To help members better understand how current trends can impact business, the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) is embarking on a globetrotting tour from California to Australia in 2014. Each of these events, including eight “Fresh Connections” stops, provides a forum to connect industry leaders across the supply chain with trends and market insight relevant to each region.

The 2014 global events include:

  • March 20, 2014: Shanghai, China
  • April 29, 2014: Rotterdam, Netherlands
  • May 15-16, 2014: Queretaro, Mexico
  • June 18-19, 2014: Retail in Philadelphia, Pa., USA
  • June 24-26, 2014: PMA Australia-New Zealand in Auckland, NZ
  • June 26, 2014: Food Safety Highlights in Newport Beach, CA

  • Aug. 21, 2014: Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • Nov. 12-13, 2014: PMA Fruittrade Latin America in Santiago, Chile

“When we help industry members build connections, produce and floral companies can focus on building consumer demand for the products they grow, ship and sell,” says Anthony Barbieri, senior vice president of membership and business development. “It’s about connecting members throughout the globe, whether they’re from Salinas or Shanghai, members to consumer insights, members to trends that will empower their business decisions.”
