Grow Green launches produce wash for foodservice

Grow Green Industries has introduced its new eatCleaner Fruit + Vegetable Wash Powder with distribution beginning July 11. With a cost of a fraction of a penny per half-cup serving of produce, eatCleaner Fruit + Vegetable Wash Powder is a very affordable solution for food trucks, restaurants, salad bars, juice bars and any food business serving fresh produce, according to a Grow Green press release.

The new product attributes touted by the company include:

• A food grade, all natural cleaner for processing fresh produce in addition to beans, nuts and grains
• A patented, synergistic blend of FDA approved, GRAS ingredients lab-proven to kill 99.99 percent+ of salmonella, E. coli, listeria and coliform bacteria within 15 seconds
• More effective in removing bacteria than chlorine and peracetic acid without any corrosive or harmful chemicals; alcohol-free
• Lab proven to remove up to 99.8 percent of pesticide residue from the surface of produce
• Extends produce life by up to five times longer and inhibits yeast and mold growth
• Safe, effective cleaning solution with no special handling or closed system requirements
• Dip, spray or soak method; variable concentration

eatCleaner Fruit + Vegetable Wash Powder is now available through IFS Distributors and directly from Grow Green Industries and comes in a case of four 5-lb tubs. Bulk super sacs and half/full truckloads are also available.
