Gourmet Trading Company asparagus shipper takes award

Gourmet Trading Company has won an IoPP AmeriStar award for packaging.

More than 150 packages were submitted for consideration in the awards competition. Judging was based on package innovation, sustainability, protection, economics, performance and marketing.

Gourmet Trading was recognized for its two-piece display-ready Asparagus Shipper.

The winners will be feted at the AmeriStar Awards Reception and Dinner in Rosemont, Ill. May 22.
