Glory Foods founder to explain keys to business success

Management author Peter Drucker wrote about the 12 keys to business and entrepreneurial success. Those keys will be discussed along with many real-life examples, as an Ohio man will explain how he developed a niche food product in a very crowded food product space.

Dan Charna, founding partner of Glory Foods, will talk about his keys to success at the monthly Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum on May 21 hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation.

Charna and his partners created the consumer packaged goods company focused on food targeted to the African American community. Upon the successful sale and transition period of Glory Foods more than 24 years later, Charna wanted to share his experiences with students looking to enter the food industry. He accepted a position at Ohio Wesleyan University (Delaware, Ohio) where he teaches management courses in marketing, entrepreneurship and finance. He has worked with many people in agribusiness throughout his career, and will offer insight on the state of agribusiness from various perspectives, including entrepreneurship, education, and partnerships.

The cost is $10 per person, which includes breakfast and networking opportunities.
