Dynamic Systems upgrades label tracking

Dynamic Systems, based in Redmond, Washington, now has an upgraded tablet for the SIMBA line of barcode tracking solutions (SIMBA). The mobility of the tablet provides food processors the ability to handle, label and track their products from any location “field to customer,” according to Dynamic Systems.

With SIMBA, users can monitor the pack lines in real-time to know what is in inventory and to record shipments, the company said. The SIMBA (Specialized Inventory Management with Barcode Accuracy) System helps produce and track complete product labeling for fresh food, Dynamic Systems said.

The SIMBA system runs on a mobile tablet or touch screen computer and allows the worker to print product labels from the field or at any pack line with all pertinent information (including a GS-1 code), capturing product information (weight, size, color, grade) for that carton or bag.  The label information is stored in the SIMBA Office inventory, which provides data for inventory management, traceability and shipping.  The cartons may be accumulated onto a pallet and tracked with a single pallet identifier.

At the time of shipping, the Van Loading feature of SIMBA tracks each carton or pallet onto a specific van. A Bill of Lading is then produced automatically.

Key results from implementing the SIMBA Traceability Software include real-time production reporting, fulfillment of traceability requirements, more accurate inventory, professional looking carton and pallet labels, and verified shipping, the company said.
