Campbell Soup to buy Bolthouse Farms

According to reports by the New York Times and Reuters, among others, Campbell Soup is planning to buy Bolthouse Farms for $1.55 billion.

The purchase will make it possible for Campbell's to expand its offerings with Bolthouse's baby carrots, refrigerated salad dressings and juices. Bolthouse's brands include Bolthouse Farms, Green Giant and Earthbound Farm, plus private label products.
