Alternative processing technologies on program at PROCESS EXPO

The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) released the details of four sessions of the educational program at PROCESS EXPO 2015 to be presented by speaker Tatiana Koutchma of the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), Guelph Food Research Center and www.novelfoodsciences.com. These sessions include the following:

Tuesday, Sept. 15

  • Alternative Technologies for Pasteurization & Sterilization of Foods
  • UV Light as a Complementary Sanitary Solution in Food Production

Thursday, Sept. 16

  • Fresh Juices: Cold Pressed Revolution – Headlines, Challenges and Technological Innovations

Friday, Sept. 18

  • Ultraviolet Light Applications for Preservation and Purification of Heat Sensitive Beverages and Ingredients

“Dr. Koutchma has consistently been one of our most popular speakers since she first spoke at PROCESS EXPO 2011,” said FPSA President and CEO David Seckman. “For this reason we have continued to bring her back, first in 2013 and now for this year’s show. Her topics are timely and provide attendees with insight into innovative technologies that they might consider for future application in their operations. These sessions have traditionally received our highest attendance so we recommend that attendees secure their spot during registration.”

This year’s program features 35-plus hours of education addressing a wide variety of important topics that cover all major segments of the food and beverage industry. Presented by experts from 15 of North America’s top university food science programs, these sessions are free of charge to any registered attendee and will be conducted during show hours throughout the four day event.
