Fresh Ideas: Talk of the Industry

I had a great time at United Fresh 2013 in San Diego.  The conversation inside was as prevalent as the sunshine outside.  Along with all the scheduled presentations you could walk the halls and aisles and observe all kinds of apparently casual conversation. But to call these exchanges “casual” belies their importance. Perhaps they were casual, but they were far from trivial.

All of this talk wasn’t done to simply pass the time. People were seeking out opinions and trading ideas. It’s wise to keep your ears open during such exchanges because so many of our best ideas are caught instead of taught — harvested from casual, informal, social conversations. This is true both in person and online.

At Fresh Cut, we have a variety of means for you to keep that stream of conversation going, to share ideas, observations and opinions. With the aggregate pool of knowledge and expertise in this industry, it’s a safe bet that one of our Facebook fans or Twitter followers has an insight or idea that will benefit your business.

We have introduced a new feature on our Facebook page called Fresh-Cut Forum, where you are invited to join the discussion about issues important to the industry.
We’ll be updating our Facebook page frequently and inviting your comments on what’s going on in the industry and about what you’re seeing in Fresh Cut, both in print and online.

Drop me a line on my personal Facebook page. Follow us — and add your comments — on Twitter as well.

Our website, freshcut.com, provides a number of ways to get in touch. Click on the Facebook and Twitter buttons at the top of the page, or click “contact” at the far bottom right to use an e-mail form.

All the other technologies work too. Send direct e-mail to me here or call at 616-887-9008, extension 120 or 616-450-0257.
